RUSH – Alumni Emergency Funds
Uncommon Good offers emergency financial assistance to our program graduates who attended high school in Los Angeles County and are now attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year post-secondary institution in the United States. These funds may be used for undocumented students. In most cases, students will be eligible for only one RUSH grant in a calendar year. The expected grant amounts will be $100 – $1,500.
The RUSH fund was made possible by the California Community Foundation.
Elibigle School Districts:

- Claremont USD
- LACOE
- Pomona USD, including Pomona Catholic
- Walnut Valley USD
Eligible Expenses:
- Housing (security deposit & rental assistance)
- Transportation (bus passes, car repairs)
- Books and school supplies, school fees/fines, phone bills, internet fees
- Limited medical, dental, and vision emergencies
- Basic needs (food, hygiene products, bed linens, mattress, etc)
- Special or required clothing items for work or school
- Special items for students affected by violence and/or abuse (replacement locks, etc)
- Important documentation (State ID, marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc)
- Expenses necessary to prevent or avert a crisis, per judgment of administration

Uncommon Good offers emergency financial assistance to families and college students in the Pomona Valley who are in need of funds for:
- Rent
- Utilities
- Food
- Medical Expenses
- Funeral Expenses
- Essential College Expenses
