Medicine and Mental Health

Uncommon Good’s Medicine for the Economically Disadvantaged (MED) program provides educational loan assistance to doctors, dentists, optometrists, and pharmacists working in clinics serving low-income communities. The program also offers mentorship opportunities with Uncommon Good students interested in careers in medicine through the Medical Career Pipeline initiative.

Uncommon Good has also recently added a pilot mental health program that trains community members (promotoras) on mental health issues, so they can provide community based mental health assistance to families in our programming.
