1. Elevating the Safety Net Provider Loan Repayment Program

Applications Accepted for Waitlist ONLY

In response to the physician shortage for low-income communities in Los Angeles, the L.A. Care Health Plan (LA Care) created the Elevating the Safety Net Provider Loan Repayment Program. Uncommon Good is administering this program which offers loan repayment assistance to new primary care doctors and primary care psychiatrists working in public or private practices that serve LA Care patients and a majority MediCal population. The program provides up to $5,000 a month in tax free loan repayment assistance for three to five years. Primary care physicians practicing in LA County for the first time will be eligible for the program.
